In the 1980's, the touristy Hart County Scenic Railway ran from Hartwell to Bowersville, GA - a ten-mile stretch - and back again in just one hour... I don't know if it was lack of tourists or the short scenic ride that did the railway in, but the passenger car and caboose sit on unused tracks being eaten away by weather and time.
I am truly blessed to live the Upstate of South Carolina; surrounded by the Blue Ridge Escarpment to my west and north; Lakes Hartwell, Keowee, and Jocassee to my north, west, and south; with the beautiful South Carolina coast just a morning's drive away. Given the proximity to so many gorgeous views, it is only natural that I settled my photographic and artistic endeavors on nature and landscapes. I enjoy my art, my work, and my family (daughter Britt, Australian Retriever Sierra and cat Avery). My hope is that my art will touch the heart of someone, maybe bringing back a happy memory of a time, place or loved one. Thank you for stopping by! Lynne
